When the inspection revealed that a neighboring industrial facility was using a corner of our property as a burn pit and waste dump, we were afraid we’d spend months in court or thousands on a cleanup. Then Mr. O’Connor suggested something none of us thought of — convincing the owner of the adjoining industrial site to agree to a lot line adjustment to transfer ownership of the contaminated land to the industrial site. The owner of the industrial site site now owns the contamination he caused, and we’re now able to market the property free of any environmental encumbrances. AAI also streamlined the whole process by hiring the surveyor, helping with negotiations, and quickly updating the Phase I ESA to reflect the lot line adjustment.
